Sept 12th, the Web Marketing Association announced the 2012 winners of the annual WebAward Competition. We got awarded Best of Industry for outstanding achievement in web development for normann-copenhagen.com.
Entries in the WebAward competition are judged on seven criteria: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use.
For Normann Copenhagen we achieved maximum score in design, content, technology, interactivity and copywriting and the judges did not hold back on the positive comments:
“I love this site, wow!!! This site provides everything I want in a website shopping experience. I loved the page navigation broken down into slices with each section designed with a specific purpose in mind. ”
“VERY NICE WORK!!”
“Design, design, design. This site is unique and effectively communicates its brand and products. UI is unobstructed.”
It’s the 16th annual WebAward Competition for web site development and more than 2,000 entries from 42 countries were adjudicated in 2012.
It’s a huge recognition to win such a prestigious international award.

Huset Markedsføring invited its members to an exclusive e-commerce seminar surrounded by great design in the Normann Copenhagen Flagship Store. Valtech and Normann Copenhagen were invited to present the new webshop to the members. We opened up and talked about the project, the partnership, the challenges, the solution and the results – everything in a very relaxing atmosphere. We truly enjoyed the full 1.5 hours and want to thank Huset Markedsføring for showing interest in our project and thanks to the 20 participants (sorry we could not host more than 20 people).
If you have dropped by the site you might have noticed that each page is made of many sections after one another. It makes one really long page! Check out the screen shot of our current front page below. It will change continuously, just as the window display in the Normann Copenhagen Flagship Store.
To celebrate the launch of the new Normann Copenhagen site – we decided to build parts of the website in an exhibition. We want to describe our new online universe in an offline content. See pictures from the exhibition and watch the video from the launch event last friday.
Check out the new normann-copenhagen.com. We have been working hard for the past month to finalize all the details and we are proud to say that the site has gone live! We love it! Hope you will too: Normann-copenhagen.com
Don’t worry, we will keep the blog going and post about the results, updates, findings etc. The project is not over yet and we look forward to the next chapter “post-launch”.
Lots and lots of content for the new webshop. Trying to get an overview of it all and how it should link between the pages. We don’t want to confuse the customer, but we do want to inform and link to relevant information. It’s a fine line. The content is what makes the site so that is the focus right now.
